Best DotA Underlords Items in Each Tier

Underlord is a new game mode in Dota 2. It started as an experimental concept, but it was so well received that Valve has made the idea permanent and added it to every official matchmaking pool. Each player starts with one hero or two heroes under their control, before capturing three other enemy heroes to be able to summon powerful minions who will fight for them until they die. The more experience players gain through killing these units, the faster they level up and become stronger themselves – making Underlords extremely intense games of cat-and-mouse where no advantage is safe! As you can see from our list below, there are many items which may help you on your quest for victory over your foes.

The “dota underlords tier list 2020” is a list of the best DotA Underlords items in each tier. The list has been updated for the latest patch on November 20th, 2019.

DotA Underlords

Don’t know which DotA Underlords things to choose when the opportunity arises? This guide to the top DotA Underlords equipment will assist you in making your selection.

If you’re a DotA Underlords player, you’re surely aware that every few matches, you may choose one of three DotA Underlords things. You’ll want to know what the greatest DotA Underlords things are whether you’re new to the game or even if you’re a seasoned veteran searching for some fresh information.

Your item tier rises as the game progresses, and the pool of things from which you may choose varies. As the game progresses, the things get more powerful, but the finest DotA Underlords goods in the early levels are often the best-in-slot items for certain characters, so keep an eye out for them.

I’ve spent about 600 hours in DotA Underlords, so I know a little bit about which things are the greatest and which ones are best avoided. When I need to pass the time or while listening to podcasts, I usually play DotA Underlords. Now that DotA Underlords is no longer being updated, I can publish guides for the game without worrying about them becoming outdated.

The finest DotA Underlords items might vary depending on your team’s makeup, but in general, the things that stand out are fairly consistent throughout teams. Obviously, if you have a Mages team, you’ll want magic things, and an Assassin team would want attack items, but some items are simply incredibly good in general, while others are complete duds.

Let’s dive into the greatest DotA Underlords stuff now that we’ve covered the basics.

Tier 1: DotA Underlords’ Best Items

Claymore, Gloves of Haste, Kaya, Chainmail, Headdress, Hood of Defiance, Morbid Mask, Talisman of Evasion, Vitality Booster, Void Stone are among the items in this tier.

It all depends on your build when it comes to the finest DotA Underlords tier 1 equipment. You’ll need a Kaya or a Void Stone if you have mages (or if you want to employ Ember Spirit on a Spirit Alliance squad). That is self-evident. If you’re playing Mages and have a choice between Kaya and Void Stone, go with Kaya since 20 percent magic damage is big, and although the Void Stone will ultimately be outclassed, there are no other additional magic damage items in the game. Kaya is really good on Storm Spirit.

If you’re going Assassins, I’d choose the Gloves of Haste over the Claymore since bonus attack speed increases as your troops develop, unlike the Claymore. If the Gloves of Haste aren’t available, I’d choose the Morbid Mask first, followed by the Claymore.

The Talisman of Evasion or Hood of Defiance is a good choice if you’re going Knights, Warriors, or Heartless, though I still prefer the Gloves of Haste or the Morbid Mask.

I try to stay away from Chainmail, Headdress, and Vitality Booster in general.

I’d put them in this sequence for this tier:

For Mages, Gloves of Haste > Morbid Mask > Talisman of Evasion > Claymore > Hood of Defiance > Chainmail > Vitality Booster > Kaya > Void Stone

Tier 2: DotA Underlords’ Best Items

Armlet of Mordiggian, Desolator, Dragon Lance, Paladin Sword, Stonehall Pike, Quelling Blade, Blade Mail, Stonehall Cloak, Vanguard, Arcane Boots, Blink Dagger, Heaven’s Halberd, Barricade, Target Buddy, Stonehall Pike, Quelling Blade, Blade Mail, Stonehall Cloak, Stonehall Cloak, Stonehall Cloak, Stonehall Cloak, Stonehall Cloak, Stonehall Cloak, Stonehall Cloak, Stonehall

When it comes to choosing the greatest DotA Underlords equipment, your alliance and troops matter just as much as they do in the other levels. You’ll probably want Arcane Boots if you’ve gone Mages. Paladin Sword may be the best pick if you have healers.

Stonehall Pike is a fantastic choice if you have a unit like Spectre or Luna that racks up a lot of kills. Stonehall Cloak may be quite profitable if you have Bristleback. Desolator provides a lot of benefit to assassins.

If you slap Armlet of Mordiggian onto a ranged DPS in the early and mid-game, it may be useful as a gimmick, but the risk is typically not worth it in my view.

Still, for most teams, Heaven’s Halberd is the greatest option, followed by Vanguard if that isn’t available. Heaven’s Halberd is a fantastic defensive equipment that may easily be classified as a tier 3 item. It scales better than the Vanguard since it’s evasion rather than defense, and disarming attackers is incredibly beneficial.

When it comes to tier 2 gear, I usually choose for Heaven’s Halberd or Blade Mail/Vanguard in my games. The game Quelling Blade is a flop. I don’t believe I’d ever want to read it. Blink Dagger isn’t really helpful, either, unless you’re playing Tidehunter.

While your team composition is really important here, I’d say the following is a general breakdown of the strongest DotA Underlords items at this tier:

Target Buddy > Dragon Lance > Barricade > Blink Dagger > Armlet of Mordiggian > Quelling Blade > Heaven’s Halberd > Blade Mail > Vanguard > Stonehall Pike > Desolator > Paladin Sword > Desolator > Paladin Sword > Desolator > Paladin Sword > Desolator > Paladin Sword > Desolator > Paladin Sword > Desolator > Paladin Sword > Desolator > Paladin Sword > Desolator > Paladin Arcane Boots would thus be a Mages squad’s second best weapon after Heaven’s Halberd, and essentially worthless to everyone else.

Tier 3 – DotA Underlords’ Best Items

Battle Fury, Skull Basher, Craggy Coat, Pipe of Insight, Witless Shako, Eul’s Scepter, Necronomicon, Octarine Essence, Silver Edge, Mango Tree, Crown of Antlers, Leg Breaker’s Fedora, Pirate Hat, Ristul Circlet are among the items in this tier.

Tier 3 contains a variety of amazing DotA Underlords equipment, and whatever one you choose will be greatly influenced by your team arrangement. Let’s get the basics out of the way first.

Take Mask of Madness if you have a Phantom Assassin, Lifestealer, Slark, Drow Ranger, or any other character that depends solely or virtually solely on autoattacks. If you have any of those characters, it is the greatest item in this tier.

Necronomicon is highly strong if you have Bat Rider, Puck, or Nature’s Prophet. Although, in my view, Octarine Essence is superior for Puck.

Octarine Essence, followed by Eul’s Scepter, are the greatest choices if you’re rolling Mages.

Because it allows you to max up both alliances, the Pirate Hat is useful for Assassins/Rogues while the Crown of Antlers is suitable for Heartless/Hunters.

Battle Fury is only very good on Ember Spirit; on everyone else, it’s simply average at best, and the cleave doesn’t provide much more damage.

Outside of those conditions, Silver Edge is excellent, Pipe of Insight is almost always excellent, and Skull Basher is adequate.

I don’t believe the Craggy Coat and Witless Shako are particularly good, especially if you already have the far better Heaven’s Halberd as your tank.

I’d say the following is a breakdown of the greatest DotA Underlords items in this tier:

Mask of Madness > Necronomicon > Silver Edge > Pipe of Insight > Skull Basher > Battle Fury > Eul’s Scepter > Octarine Essence > Mango Tree > Craggy Coat > Witless Shako (if you have the right units, otherwise skip it) > Silver Edge > Pipe of Insight > Skull Basher > Battle Fury > Eul’s Scepter > Octarine Essence > Mango Tree > Craggy Eul’s Scepter and Octarine Essense are obviously top tier if you have Mages. Hats are handy in a variety of scenarios, although only the Swordsman and Hunter hats are very beneficial.

Tier 4 – DotA Underlords’ Best Items

Butterfly, Dagon, Diffusal Blade, Kaden’s Blade, Maelstrom, Monkey King Bar, Moon Shard, Black King Bar, Eye of Skadi, Mekansm, Refresher Orb, Scythe of Vyse are among the items found in this tier.

In terms of the top DotA Underlords things, every item in this tier is excellent, so it all comes down to your team composition at this stage. Here are a few things to think about.

I usually always pick Kaden’s Blade if it’s available if I have Trolls and Shadow Shaman, since that’s a broken combo. With the Troll’s alliance benefit, Shadow Shaman’s attack speed is ludicrous. It transforms his physical attack from a dud into your team’s most potent DPS weapon.

Refresher Orb is a requirement if I have Savages or Shamans since it enables Lone Druid to summon two bears. If you have Mages, it’s also probably the best option. Aside than that, huh.

Butterfly and Moon Shard are the two things in this tier that I’ve chosen the most. Butterfly if a unit, such as a Terrorblade or a Bounty Hunter, is about to be struck. Moon Shard if they’re in a secure place, like a Luna. Moon Shard, or Lifestealer if it’s Lifestealer. Except in extremely particular instances, I would choose those two things above most of the other damage-dealing equipment.

Overall, I’d say this is the breakdown for the greatest DotA Underlords items in this tier:

Scythe of Vyse > Monkey King Bar > Maelstrom > Dagon > Kaden’s Blade > Diffusal Blade > Eye of Skadi > Mekansm > Butterfly > Moon Shard > Black King Bar > Refresher Orb > Scythe of Vyse > Monkey King Bar > Maelstrom > Dagon > Kaden’s Blade > Diffusal Blade > Eye of Skadi > Mekansm Keep in mind those particular instances, however. An additional bear is preferable than a Butterfly.

Refresher Orb > Scythe of Vyse > Dragon > everything else if you have Mages.

Tier 5: DotA Underlords’ Best Items

Bloodthorn, Divine Rapier, Radiance, Heart of Tarrasque, Satanic, Shiva’s Guard, Horn of the Alpha, Vesture of the Tyrant, Vladimir’s Offering are among the items in this tier.

Everything is extremely good at tier 4, so it all relies on your team makeup. Let’s take a look at some concrete examples.

If you have a 3-star Meepo, you should play Shiva’s Guard or Horn of the Alpha, since the outcomes are cartoonishly good. You’ll want the horn if you have Meepo in a summoning team so you can conjure a boatload of powerful lizards. Otherwise, I believe Shiva’s Guard is superior.

Because the lizards from Horn of the Alpha aren’t very impressive without a 3 star Meepo, I usually save them for summoning teams with Shamans or when I have Meepo.

Heart of Tarrasque may be game-breaking if you have Pudge or a high-level Brawny team, since the passive healing can surpass the opponent team’s damage if your HP totals are high enough.

Sven and Slark benefit greatly from Satanic, however if you already have a Mask of Madness for Slark, it’s not much of an improvement.

Radiance, Vesture of the Tyrant, and Vladmir’s Offering arguably provide the greatest overall advantage to most teams outside of those particular scenarios. Except for Mages, Vladmir’s Offering has no effect on them.

I’d never pick Divine Rapier since it’s a terrible way to lose the game. I’d probably only use Bloodthorn in select scenarios, such as with an Assassins team or if I had a large damage dealer who didn’t have a damage item yet due to my bad luck during the game.

Overall, I believe the top DotA Underlords items in this tier are as follows:

Shiva’s Guard > Heart of Tarrasque > Bloodthorn > Horn of the Alpha > Divine Rapier > Radiance > Vesture of the Tyrant > Vladmir’s Offering > Satanic > Shiva’s Guard > Heart of Tarrasque > Bloodthorn > Horn of the Alpha > Divine Rapier
