Black Eye Games’ developers point out that this free trial has another purpose: it prepares the MMORPG for stress testing before it wraps up early access and moves on to full launch. The studio’s press statement doesn’t provide a specific launch date for the game, but it does say that the developers want to release it “as soon as feasible” after testing server capabilities and performance.
Gloria Victis is a medieval MMORPG with a more realistic bent, including action combat, territory management, a player-driven economy, character growth without classes, and a live open environment. The developers describe the game as “Mount & Blade meets PlanetSide 2,” with players being able to create their own characters, such as a blacksmith, a farmer, a berserker, or a knight. The game has been in early access since June 2016 and has seen a lot of tweaks and improvements along the road, and it now looks to be reaching completion, at least after a few days of whales on the servers.
